Planned Giving

Pledge a gift through your estate to make a lasting impact on St. John’s Home for Children. When you make a bequest to St. John’s Home for Children, we will honor your generosity by inducting you into the 1856 Society. If you have already made estate plans that include St. John’s Home for Children, please let us know so that we may properly establish your membership into our 1856 Society.

Here is the information you need for your attorney to include St. John’s Home for Children in your will:

I give devised request of (dollar amount, percentage of estate, property, etc.)
to the Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, West Virginia,
for the benefit of the St. John’s Home for Children,

141 Key Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003.

Please check with your financial planner or estate attorney for the additional ways you can make a planned gift to St. John’s Home for Children. We accept gifts of stock, bonds, property, oil and gas leases, insurance policies, etc.

Your gift is your legacy. It will ensure St. John’s Home for Children can continue to minister to West Virginia’s most vulnerable population—its children—for another century. We are forever grateful. If you have any questions, we are here to guide you. Please contact us at any time. Thank you.
